Come On Ride the Train!

Look at her go!

11 Months Old

How can it be that 11 months have gone by already?  Evelyn is just 10 days away from her 1st birthday!  She has grown by leaps and bounds this past month...practicing her walking and getting stronger legs, eating lots more, and doing more sleeping which we love. She is saying 2 new sounds now...goy,goy,goy and guy guy.

Evelyn loves the outdoors and going for walks.

With Grandma before a neighborhood walk.

She is always very curious about everything.  Here she discovered the pots and pans cabinet.

A few weeks ago, she climbed up 3 of the steps, so up went the baby gate!
Here she is helping daddy with the installation.

Another neighborhood walk, this time in the Bjorn to stay warm.

Having a cuddle after she woke up from her afternoon nap.

Still groggy...

She also enjoys climbing on people wrestlemania style!

She is eating a lot more solid and baby food, too.  She loves sucking on clementines, and we watch her so that she doesn't choke.

She enjoys bread, too.

Evelyn Takes a Tumble

Here is a short clip of Evelyn practicing her walking.  This is her first time, and trust me, she got better with practice.

Party in PA

Last week, Evelyn and I journeyed to PA for Gracie's 2nd birthday.  It was a dramatic time getting there as our 6:15am flight was delayed for over an hour.  Once we finally landed in Cincinnati, I ran, pushing Evelyn in the stroller to make our connection. Fortunately they waited for us, and we landed in Pittsburgh right on time.  That night, we had Chinese at Tom and Michelle's house.

Playing in the newly finished basement.

Evelyn was walking around quite well with this stroller walker.

On Thursday, we drove to Speers so that Grammy could pick up a special retirement gift for her friend.  We had a nice lunch next door.  Evelyn enjoyed waving and talking to the lunch crowd.

Grammy and Evelyn.

Back at home, Evelyn enjoyed playing with all of Grammy's toys.

And she found the tupperware cabinet.

Saturday was the big birthday.  Aunt Michelle did an amazing job with the carnival/circus theme!

There was a face painter...Grace enjoyed playing in the paints.

Tommy is "Super Spiderman"

There was even a balloon animal maker.  Here she is with Grammy and Evelyn holding her smiley face flower.

More walking practice...

A Sunday morning wrestle with Grammy.

Taking a spin on the bus.

At the airport, checking out the moving walkway.

Emptying everything from my purse.

In Atlanta, awaiting our connection and having snacks.

She is usually quiet or asleep when we fly, but during this last flight, she kept screaming da-DA the whole time.  Luckily it was only a 30 minute flight, and everyone was very understanding.

At last back home with da-DA!  He bought her the alphabet train for an early birthday present.

First Valentine's Day

Evelyn had a nice, first Valentine's Day.  At daycare, they made a heart craft, and she got Valentines in the mail from Grammy and Aunt Nina.  Grandma was at our house for the week, and she got Evelyn new jammies and a toy SUV.
