7 Months Old

On October 17th, Evelyn turned 7 months old.  7 Months!!!!  She is growing up so fast.  She sits up so well now and keeps leaning forward on her hands and knees in an effort to crawl.  It's so fun, too, to dress her up in more outfits.  She is eating more baby food...her faves are squash and sweet potatoes.  Still not sleeping through the night, but we're getting there.

Eddie must be practicing saying da-da on his Saturdays with Evelyn.  She babbles it all day long!

Getting those knees ready for crawling...uh-oh!

Hanging out in the bouncer for old times.  She can easily munch on that chicken and stretch at the same time.

She tried chewing on a frozen bagel for her sore gums, but she still doesn't know about that.

She also turns on to her belly on her changing table making it extra hard to get a diaper or clothes on her!

Looking cute in jeans on a casual Saturday with Daddy

And looking cute before bath!

Evelyn's 6 month photos

Here is Evelyn at 6 months old!  I have to give credit to the Sears photographer...Evelyn cried almost the whole time, and we couldn't figure out why.  Well, she cut her second tooth the following day.  Our photographer did a great job catching any trace of a smile.

Family Visit in Greensburg

Last weekend, The Rennie Crew and Evelyn and I all descended on Grammy and Pap pap's house for a mini family reunion.  Sadly, Eddie had to work and missed all the fun.  That meant my first time flying with a baby was a solo mission.  Here we are before leaving for the airport...it's 4:30 in the morning.

But Evelyn did so well on the plane.  She napped most of the time and tried to eat the tray table the rest of the time.

On Friday night, Aunt Nina and Uncle Bill came with us to Jioio's Pizza.  Enjoying some deck time before we head out.

Evelyn loved the beads on Aunt Nina's blouse.

Tommy, Evelyn and Grammy at Jioio's

Back home and playing in the basement.  Grace likes the stairs.

Evelyn enjoyed playing with Tommy's trucks.

Posing with Aunt Nina and Uncle Bill

Very comfy on Uncle Bill's lap

Saturday morning was bath time for Evelyn and Tommy wanted to help.  It was a crazy event with Tommy and Grace splashing in the water and Evelyn peeing on me before we could get her in the tub.  All we could do was laugh!

Tommy was so wet that he took a bath, too, and pretend shaved.

Time for lunch...vegetables are still her favorite.

Back in the basement for play time...

Evelyn holds on since Pap pap drives fast on the country roads.

Still sleeping as we head into the winery.

Enjoying a quick tasting.

Even I had a small tasting.

And a little more after I gave Evelyn a quick feeding.

Checking out the apple trees at the winery.  Grace has other plans.

Tommy could not eat enough of these tasty apples.

Grace got one, too.

Michelle held Evelyn while we apple picked.

After the winery, we headed to Mass and a parish bonfire/picnic.  Grammy held Evelyn while I ate.

Grace feeds her Daddy some of the homemade desserts.

Back at the house, Tommy helps feed Evelyn her dinner.

Back to the fun zone...the basement.  Evelyn started sitting up like a big girl on this trip, too!

Now Evelyn wants to try Golf Hockey.

Sunday morning and hanging out with the cousins.

Aunt Eileen stopped by for a quick visit.

Grammy shows Grace how to bake cookies, but Grace just wanted to eat the dough.

Tommy eats some dough, too.

Pap pap plays the stand-up game with baby Evelyn.

Tommy wants to hold Evelyn.

Aunt Michelle's turn.

Grammy relaxes with some wine before we all take a long afternoon nap.

Evelyn chews on a frozen bagel to soothe her gums.

Later, she chews on Grammy's shirt tie instead of chewing on all of the teething toys in front of her.

Monday we flew home, but our connection was delayed over 2 hours.  Evelyn was a trooper and we camped out and played at an empty gate.

It was such a fun weekend!  And the fun continued when we got home.  Grandma Mikrut was here to watch Evelyn for the week while Eddie and I went to work.  It was so great to run errands solo and get some things done around the house.  We were so busy that I forgot to take any pictures of Evelyn with Grandma!
