New Year's in PA

On the 27th of December, Evelyn, and Grammy and Pap pap, and I drove back to Greensburg.  Evelyn did a great job during the long car ride.

She watched Yo Gabba Gabba on the ipad mini and ate her rice puff snacks.

At Bob Evans, they had the cutest half high chairs.  She loved sitting at the table like a big girl.

Once we got to Grammy and Pap pap's, she was mesmerized by the toy nativity set and loved teething on baby Jesus.

Friday night, we celebrated family Christmas at Tom and Michelle's new, beautiful house.  It was a little chaotic, so it was hard to take good pictures.  Evelyn got a fun driving toy, cute clothes, and a giraffe ball game from her godparents.  She is really into the driving toy around our house now.

Tommy got a drum set from Santa.  He would have me drum and then dance his heart out to the beat.  It was fun to watch him let loose his inner dancer!

It was so great having snow for our visit.  This is the first time we went sledding at the Rennie house.

Giving Grammy then Pap a push down the hill.

Evelyn took to the snow like a snow bunny!

Michelle tries out the hill.

Sledding fun!

We also enjoyed lots of visiting.  Here is Evelyn with her Great Aunt Lisa.

With second cousin, Josh, another red head!

Chewing on the ipad cover, yum...

One more day of sledding once Eddie arrived.

Looking for "deers."

And lastly, we got to celebrate my birthday together, which hasn't happened in over a decade.

Grace enjoyed playing with Evelyn's car seat...

She even tucked herself in!

All the cousins together.

More fun with baby Jesus.

Tommy and Grace help me blow out my candles.

And open my presents.

And this is how we all felt after a fun, yet exhausting, day of sledding and birthday.

Christmas Celebration 2012

Evelyn had a special first Christmas with both sets of grandparents here in Nashville to celebrate, but first she had to get a cold and give it to Mommy and Daddy. The two of us had sinus infections while the grandparents got to party and live it up!

                                                   Someone has the sniffles...

Opening her first present from Aunt Patty...her first ornament!

Playing with her bacon box from Costco.

Practicing her standing to impress the grandparents.

Mommy's helper in the kitchen while we prepare for company.

Grammy and Pap pap arrived on the 23rd.  Christmas Eve reading the paper with Pap.

Grammy helps me prepare the breakfast goodies for the morning.

Santa came and left lots of presents!

Grandma and Grandpa flew in from California late on Christmas Eve.  They got to share in our traditional morning mimosa toast.  We got the jumbo size Roget and it was all gone thanks to Grammy and Grandma!

Our deluxe breakfast!

It takes two Grandmas sometimes to feed Evelyn!

Cuddling with Grandpa in front of the yule log.

Remote snack before presents.

Opening our gifts...

Evelyn got the same record player that I had as a baby from Grammy.

Watching me open a gift.

Evelyn got really cute outfits, tights and head bands from Grandma.

I made everyone stay in their jammies for presents.

Evelyn seemed to love the wrapping paper more than the gifts.

Playing peek-a-boo with the paper.

Pap pap reads one of his presents.

We ate lots of yummy snacks for lunch.

Playing with our new toys.

Pap pap advises Grammy on making mashed potatoes.

Another fun round of peek-a-boo!

The end of Christmas dinner.

The next day was more resting and shopping and eating.  Evelyn finally tries her snacks for the first time with the help of Grammy.

Making ham and cabbage with the leftovers.

Always trying to get away!  It was a special Christmas for everyone!
