Evelyn is 4 Months Old

On July 17, Evelyn turned 4 months old.  She is such a big girl now.  Here are her stats from her 4 month check-up:
Height: 23 inches, 10th percentile
Weight: 12.2 pounds, 25th percentile
Head Circumference: 15.2 inches 10th percentile

She is perfectly healthy and growing strong and chubby.  She's in the lower percentiles because she's our petite princess and started at only 6 lbs, but look at her strong arm and back muscles.

4 months and too cute!

On Monday it was time for her 4 month photo shoot already.  These are the behind the scenes shots that Eddie secretly took.   In this pose, she was pushing up so high with her strong arms that she rolled for the first time from belly to back.  It scared her, and she cried.

Quick costume change.

Evelyn is also sitting (or more like slightly slumping) and playing in her high chair now when we have meals.

One night during dinner, she completely fell asleep after a hard day of playing.

We got the okay from our pediatrician to start rice cereal.  We've given it to her twice already, and she seems to like it.  It does give her really bad gas, though, so we may wait a few more weeks and try again when her digestive system is ready.

She is also starting to master her hand/eye coordination.  Now she can finally grab that kitty cat she's been eyeing for weeks!

She can even get Mr. Bear in a headlock with her feet.

For tummy time we got a mirror for her to look at.  She laughs and laughs at herself.

She is also currently obsessed with her crinkle book from Aunt Gert and Chris.

She also does pretty well sitting up in her Bumbo.

Last weekend, she helped us clean out and organize the bedroom closet.

Lots of Daddy's t-shirts went bye-bye to Goodwill.

And here is one more cute photo of her and the girls from PYB.

Visit with Grammy and Pap pap

Straight from the beach, we spent Saturday night in Nashville, and Evelyn and I continued on to Greensburg with Grammy and Pap pap.  After another long day in the car seat, Evelyn was happy to stretch out on the bed.  She put her right toes in her mouth for the first time.

While home, I also got the chance to teach at my ballet school, the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet, for a week and a half.  Evelyn went with me almost every day.  The students loved holding her and keeping her entertained.

When we got back to the house, Evelyn would stretch out and watch her Baby Einstein videos.

One day, Aunt Cheri and Cousin Olivia stopped by for a visit.

The Pirates also took a monumental first place in their division while we were home.  Evelyn wore her onesie in support of the Buccos.

Cheering them on with Pap pap.

Saturday night we went to Mass at the church where Eddie and I were married.  Here we are posed outside of St. Benedicts.

After the heat wave passed finally, we could enjoy dinner out on the deck.

Evelyn enjoyed sitting with us in a reclined booster seat.

Aunt Eileen also visited one of the nights.

Evelyn loves on her lambie-pie.

She also loved standing up like a big girl in the exer-saucer that Grammy had.  Here she is watching Sesame Street.

Randomly one day, she began chewing on everything!  Grammy got her some real chew toys and even a chewy purse.

She was really coordinated and could find her mouth with no problem.

This is my last day teaching at PYB.

One more dinner on the deck.  Evelyn's got her special purse for the occasion!

Evelyn gets a bath the night before our final road trip back to Nashville.

All packed and ready to sleep in the car.

Amazingly she slept for 5 hours straight in the car.  We were halfway home and had lunch at Bob Evans.

Evelyn checks the menu but opts for milk.

Another fun time!  Thanks Grammy and Pap pap!
