Summer Visit to PA

Back in mid July, Evelyn and I flew to PA so that we could visit, and I could teach at my former ballet school, PYB.

The first weekend, Tommy and Grace stayed at Grammy and Pap's with us, and the kids had a nice breakfast together.  Evelyn tried bacon for the first time and loved it!

On Sunday, Grammy got out the buckets and water toys.  I think Evelyn drank a gallon of the fresh, mountain spring water with her favorite scooper.

The dish towel drawer was a favorite...

Grammy and Evelyn and I had a Bob Evans breakfast one morning on our way to Ikea and to visit Aunt Mary and Uncle Butch.  Of course, Evelyn would only eat Grammy's breakfast!

Later that night, we had Mexican food for Michelle's birthday.  Evelyn ate my pico de gallo nonstop.  We even took some home in a doogie bag which she ate the next day.

Back at Tom and Michelle's for playtime and cake.

We all took a Goodship Lollipop cruise on Saturday and a tour of the sights.

Evelyn finally let Uncle Tom hold her.

Tommy and Grace got to be pirates with balloon swords looking for treasure.

Evelyn takes in the sights on Mt. Washington.

Riding the incline back down to Station Square.

Evelyn slept from 6:30pm until 7 the next morning.  I carried her up to bed and put her jammies on with her eyes still closed.  She had a fun time!

Neighbors Terry and Brenda let us use their pool on Sunday.  The water was freezing, and Evelyn only went up to her feet.  Then it was snack time.

After dinner on the deck, Tommy did some dishes..

Grace swept the floor..

And Evelyn dusted..

The grown-ups rested!

Last day cuddle with Grammy.

Grammy and I took Evelyn to Legion Keener park in downtown Latrobe.  There was a special area for tots and Evelyn had fun.

Last night at the Rennie Crew's.

Grammy and Grace on their gadgets.

Evelyn found a sword she likes.

Rolling the ball game.

Last hugs good-bye!  It was a fun trip!
